Since user provisioning is controlled by your Identity Provider (e.g. Okta, Azure AD), you cannot directly delete or remove users in Workway. However, you can revoke a user’s access by changing their role within Workway to Non-Member.
Â
Step 1: Update Access in Your Identity Provider (Optional)
To block the user from logging in through SSO, you can remove them from your Identity Provider (IdP) or from the group linked to Workway.
đź”’ Note: This will prevent the user from logging in again. However, if the user is still marked as a Member in Workway, they will:
- Continue occupying a license seat
- Retain their product access (until their role is changed)
To fully revoke access and free up a seat, continue with Step 2 below.
Step 2: Change the User’s Role to “Non-Member” in Workway
- Go to the Workway Admin Panel
- Locate the user in your organization’s user list
- Change their role from Member or Admin to Non-Member
What happens next?
- The user immediately loses access to Workway and all related MV applications.
- Their product ID is revoked, and they’ll see a blank screen or error page if they try to access Workway.
- The user remains listed in your organization, so you can reassign access later if needed.
